Week 48: Famous People

So a few things happened this week:

Monday: After we emailed we didn't have much to do so I went home and cleaned my fridge, the stove, toaster, blender, sink and my bathroom so it's looking pretty good now if I say so myself.

Tuesday: We had Zone Conference which was basically just a repeat of MLC which meant an hour of watching videos I had already seen. Pretty boring but I brought some lifesaver mints and sour Skittles to keep myself awake.

Wednesday: We were at the College again and after we did the booth we had a lesson with two of our YSA investigators named Dominic and Jeremy. They're pretty cool and it was a pretty good lesson about the Book of Mormon. Dominic has a superrrr low voice (much lower than mine) and it's so awesome haha!

Thursday: Not much tbh

Friday: We went to visit a YSA member referral. This was pretty cool because 1) we got to leave the mission because our area in the YSA covers outside the mission boundaries and 2) because the referral (Saul) is a huge car guy just like yours truly. We spent probably too much time talking about cars but hey, gotta get these people friends in the church so they actually have a reason to come and learn more. He told us he has like 8 Book of Mormons so hopefully we can connect with him a little more than past missionaries.

Saturday: I was on exchanges with the other Elders that we split our family ward with. I was with Elder Bates and we had an awesome time together! We have a lot in common in our interests and hobbies (cars, video games, stuff we used to do back home with friends for fun). While we were tracting we ran into a really nice couple that gave us water and talked with us for a while about their son. They said that he went to the U to play football and got converted and now he's an awesome husband and father. Some of you might recognize the name, Eric Weddle. He is currently playing on the Baltimore Ravens. His parent's garage was full of all his old helmets, jerseys and other football memorabilia. It was super cool! Sadly they're not interested.

Sunday: I gave a talk in the YSA ward because someone bailed last minute so I talked about the Atonement a little bit. The free gift of immortality and the potential of Eternal Life. And then a missionary that just returned spoke so he obviously did a really good job. After church we were tracting and we came across Mitchell. We caught him right as he pulled up to his house and we got to talking about his car and cars in general. He's a real chill guy and we had very similar views about cars and stuff like that. It felt good to talk about cars again like I used to do with the bros back home. He said that we could talk anytime we catch him outside again. Don't know how interested he is in the gospel but we'll get there haha. Then we went and visited a less-active YSA that has had us over a couple times for dinner. We shared a couple videos with him and one of them really impacted him. We are hoping to see him at FHE tonight!

Overall it was a pretty good week! Hopefully next week we get to teach a little more. I just want y'all to know that I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that means that this is the true Church of Jesus Christ. Luckily it's that simple.

Love,
Elder Puzey
