Week 47: Huge Houses

This week I went on exchanges with one of the office elders and they have a very rich part of the city. They don't really have a whole lot of work so we spent like almost the whole day tracting. Elder Brimhall had me pick a random point on the GPS to go tracting and I just happened to pick one of the places with some hugeee houses. I should have taken some pictures but sadly I didn't.

Here are some updates from our area though:

We were able to get a total of four new investigators. One was in the YSA ward that we got from our contacting efforts at Chaffey college named Dominic. We've really seen a lot of good things come from using the marked Book of Mormons to contact. The other three new investigators are in the Highland ward. We tracted into Jimmy right after Easter and he said that he was busy and invited us back for Friday. When Friday came around we were able to meet up with him and have a good lesson on the Restoration. We plan on seeing him this Friday as well. The next new investigator is Mariah who we also tracted into. She has some young kids and wants them to be able to grow up in a house that has Jesus Christ in it so we were able to also teach her about the Restoration of the Gospel. She seemed pretty intrigued by the account of the first vision and we plan on talking more about the Book of Mormon with her on Wednesday. Then just yesterday we were tracting and we came across Margie who let us in right then. We also taught her about the Restoration. I think she might have let us in so easily because she thought we were JWs but after we sat down and got into our message we made it pretty clear who we were and she seemed to think the story of the first vision was a little different and not something she had ever heard about.

We weren't able to meet with any of the other investigators from the previous week because we had meetings on Thursday. At this meeting (MLC) it was all about the technology we're going to be getting pretty soon so that's pretty exciting! I'm excited to see the different way that we'll be able to use these devices to further the Lord's work here in California.

Tomorrow we have zone conference (luckily I wasn't asked to conduct this time) and it's pretty much going to be a repeat of the MLC meeting for all of the other missionaries but it'll be good to be refreshed.

Besides that nothing too crazy happened this week. We've started playing tennis in the mornings so when I get back I should be a pro tennis player, soccer player and volleyball player thanks to the different YSA activities. Those BYU intramural teams better watch out.

Love you all! I'll talk to you next week, hopefully something crazy happens.
Love,
Elder Puzey
