Week 64: Chino Zone

Well the first week of being in Chino is in the books. Let me try to remember if anything crazy happened. I'm still in a YSA ward so we get to whip around in a gray Corolla. Still thinking of a name for her.

On Thursday we met with our family ward's Bishop and we compiled a list of some part member families to try and teach. One of them had been working with the previous elders for a while so we're hoping to continue working with him and see him baptized soon hopefully. Other than that we weren't left with much.

On Saturday the Chinese elders than we live with had a baptism. The person getting baptized is Chinese but they actually go to our family ward so it was a baptism for us as well, kinda haha. The ward has a goal of 7 baptisms this year and they just hit number four so we're looking to come in clutch.

The other day we got a phone call from a contact in our phone named "Tony 'Thailand Chef'". Turns out this old Asian guy gives expired food to missionaries all the time and also has them over for dinner. The expired food, not so good but the Thai food he makes is incredible, so we hear. So now we have 60 hamburger buns that have expired. When you pick the food up he always has someone pray. He handed us the bags and then pointed at me and said, "You pray!". He also gave us some pizza that wasn't expired so we ended the day eating some reheated Costco pizza while playing games with the Chinese elders.

This next week will probably look a lot like this week. Some tracting and trying people that seemed interested. Wish us luck!

Love you all!!!
Love,
Elder Puzey
