Week 89: Look mom I touched the net

Image
Another great week here in Hesperia! It's been so nice to spend so much time teaching. We've been able to continue to meet with Jade and help her keep on preparing for her baptism on February 9th. She's doing really well and it doesn't look like anything is going to change. We were blessed with the opportunity to have President Nickolaisen join us for a lesson with the X family. Because we're having a convert baptism and a re-baptism he was able to set everything up for their baptism service on the 9th of February. Our next lesson will be at the church so we can show them the font and get their baptismal jumpsuits!  The Ibarra family was able to come to church again and this time Steve, a boyfriend, was able to come as well! They stayed for both hours and everyone seemed comfortable going to their organizations for second hour. Most of our lessons with them are at a member's house which has been a huge help.  We had our Stake Coordination meeting on Thu

Week 88: Nuggie Cup

So for zone activity today we had everyone bring  $1  and we had a volleyball tournament. When the winner was decided Elder Dietrich and I scooted on over to the local Burger King and asked for the most amount of nuggets we could get for  $24 . We also asked for 5 crowns. Took about 20 minutes to get the food cause they only have one fryer but we hauled back to the church and surprised everyone with 230 nuggies and 4 (they forgot to give us one) crowns. The winners got their crowns and everyone got to mack on some BK nuggies. Good times. After the food we played some more sports and we all felt (and still feel) awful. I also ran pretty much full speed into the partition and broke my toenail.  It's been super fun to be back in Hesperia. We sometimes get to drive through my old area and I have so many flashbacks to the good times with Elder Nordgren about a year ago. On Friday I got to go on exchanges with one of the Spanish elders and we drove on the boarder of my very first area

Week 87: Return Tour

Well I've been called back to Hesperia! I'm going to be a zone leader in Hesperia again but the area we cover has changed to the Mojave River ward. I'm going to be working with my new companion, Elder Dietrich. Don't know much about him but he's a hoot and the area is poppin so I'm excited! We also live in what has come to be known as "The Mojave Mansion" I'll attach pics.  Because of transfers we don't have much time to email but just know that I'm very happy with transfers and look forward to a good 6 weeks here! Love and miss you all! Love, Elder Puzey Ontario Zone My new home :D 3 Bed 2 Bath Get my own bathroom? I'm back riding in my baby!!!! (One Year Ago)

Week 86: $2.99??

Gas has hit under  $3  here! I haven't seen that my whole stay here in Southern California.  So on Tuesday we had a video conference with the whole mission. Pretty cool. That's the first time we've ever done anything like that in our mission. The reason was because President Taylor informed us that our mission was going to be merged with another mission(S) in July! I had a feeling that this might happen. I go home the transfer before the merge though so it won't affect me at all.  This week I went on exchanges with Elder De La Torre. I was in the Spanish area so not too much help. Still fun to get a change of pace though. Other than that not too much popping off down here. I hope everyone has a good week!  Love,  Elder Puzey In the hood  Go time  Good eatin' Gas prices..what??
