Week 33: The Black Hole Year

There is not a whole lot to report this week. We had transfers and Elder Nordgren and I are staying right where we are. There are a couple changes with the zone including Elder Conder being transferred in which is awesome! Been missing that guy. We got to go to Rancho yesterday to help with transfers and bikes and luggage and such. Always a good time being able to go to Rancho topped off with lunch at Chick-fil-a.

We gained a couple of new investigators. One is named Alma and she seems pretty interested. She knows that she needs to devote her life to the Lord and knows that she needs to make some changes so we're working with her to help her understand that the restored gospel will help her do that! We also taught Mike and Vivian (a different Vivian than other emails). Vivian has spent some time in Utah so she knows quite a bit about the church and she told us that she wants to start practicing with us (we hope that means becoming a member). Her ex-husband's name was Coriantumr so I think she might be prepared??? Hopefully. Mike was also there. I'll try to explain this simply. Mike and Venessa own the apt. Vivian is just staying with them till she moves into her own place. Venessa is Vivian's niece and Venessa is also (apparently) a member of the church (as Vivian told us). Vivian will be moving soon but luckily she will still be within our ward boundaries and she's moving in with her brother (apparently another member, probably Less-Active). So the lesson with Vivian and Mike was good, Mike took a couple notes so we hope that they both pray to really know for themselves through the power of the Holy Ghost if this is the true restored Church of Jesus Christ.

As we enter 2018 we enter the year that no one will see Elder Puzey in the flesh (besides these crazy Southern Californians). Hence the title, "The Black Hole Year". It'll be a short one.

Love you all!!!
Love,
Elder Puzey
