Week 34: Steady Mobbin'

Well this week was nothing spectacular. We spent a lot of time tracting and not a lot of time teaching people. We didn't gain a single new investigator which is the first time that's happened since Elder Nordgren and I got here. BUTTTTTTTTTT we got our investigator Vivian (the one living with Mike and Vanessa from last week) on date for February 10th so we are excited to continue working with her. Yesterday in church we talked a lot about home teaching in Elders Quorum/ High Priests and the importance of it. Now poor home-teaching is a problem throughout the church but it is so super important! As missionaries sometimes we work with less-active members to try to help them remember the importance of the gospel in the eternal perspective. Well try as we might we rarely have members return to activity when it's only us. The stories we hear of people returning to activity is because of patience and long suffering from the ward members!! We get transferred every few months but you members are there for years at a time. Let's take care of our brothers and sisters here on the earth while fighting the plague of apathy by reaching out to everyone with hearts full of charity. Remember your covenants to God:
"as ye are desirous to come into the fold of God, and to be called his people, and are willing to bear one another’s burdens, that they may be light; Yea, and are willing to mourn with those that mourn; yea, and comfort those that stand in need of comfort" "Wherefore, my beloved brethren, if ye have not charity, ye are nothing, for charity never faileth... Wherefore, my beloved brethren, pray unto the Father with all the energy of heart, that ye may be filled with this love" "No power or influence can or ought to be maintained by virtue of the priesthood, only by persuasion, by long-suffering, by gentleness and meekness, and by love unfeigned" "A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another."

Love you all and I hope that y'all remember that Christ has given us the ultimate gift that we are forever indebted to Him for. Thus I pray that we are thankful for that gift and can love Him enough to love each other.

Love,
Elder Puzey
