Week 66: Mike and Lemuel

Well this week really ended off nicely but we'll start from the top.

We had Zone Conference on Thursday. It was so nice to not have to plan anything and just be able to show up and enjoy all the trainings and such. There was a lot of talk about how this is the Lord's work and our efforts will be sanctified by Him. It helped me a lot to have that reminder and gained some more motivation back.

Later that night we were tracting and we were up on the side of a hill with some real nice homes. So naturally almost everyone said no but one of the last doors we knock on this HUGE giant comes and opens the door. He had long braided hair and his arms were gigantic, you could easily say he was large in stature. We stumble through a door approach and he said he might be interested. So we got his phone number and then we asked for his name and his name is Lemuel! He has got to be a direct desendent from the one and only Book of Mormon villan.

The cherry on top for this week was definitley the fact that Mike got baptized yesterday! It was his birthday and he spent it doing the best thing that he could have; making promises with God so he can bless us even more! It was really great to see everyone and be able to enjoy the great baptism service.

Things are going pretty well for my new missionary and me. We are still trying to ressurect our area but that always takes some time. We've been knocking a lot of doors so hopefully some of the people that said we could come back will turn out to be pretty interested. Hope everyone is doing well and remember to pray for ministering opportunities!  (I gave a talk on ministering yesterday so now I'm an expert even though missionaries are some of the only people that don't actually have ministering assignments).

Love and miss you all!
