Week 29: Meetings

It doesn't feel like anything crazy happened this last week but we've finally entered December so that is super exciting!! We were able to gain a couple of new investigators so here's some information about them.

1) Vivian is an older lady that is a member of another church (I'm like 90% sure it was started by an excommunicated bishop but oh well) and she teaches Sunday school there. She recently lost her husband and was intrigued that we believe that her husband's father (who didn't "accept Christ") was not in hell.
2) Tonio is an 18 year old guy that really just wants to learn a little more about what we believe. He has a TON of questions which makes it a little hard to teach but at least he'll listen to us (most of the time)
3) Bruno is Tonio's dad and he's a kinda investigator. He listened to the tail end of our second lesson with Tonio. That's when the lesson went a little off track and we started discussing things that aren't as important to one's salvation but things we have different views on. It was amazing to see so many plain and simple doctrines all twisted about. But anyone willing to talk/listen can have their spirit touched so...

On Thursday we had the day of all meetings. In the morning we went to MLC which is the President and his wife, the assistants, the Sister Training Leaders and the Zone Leaders. There we talk about the mission as a whole and had some really good trainings to help us be better missionaries, leaders and people. That was an 11-5 meeting (with lunch in there somewhere) but it was really good nonetheless. Then we had dinner (after driving 50 miles back up into the desert) and after that we had a meeting with the Stake Presidency to discuss the missionary work in the Stake. It was another good meeting and luckily this one was only about an hour long. We reported on the missionary statistics and everything like that and because we whitewashed in and the old Zone Leaders didn't record a lot of information we kinda got screwed over but the Stake Presidency is patient and knows that we're trying our hardest with what we got.

Yesterday we got to watch the Christmas devotional which was awesome! Highly recommend that y'all watch that if you haven't already. I would also encourage all of you to watch the Light The World videos. I believe that they're coming out with one video per day in December to help us serve others, do as Christ would and feel the (Christmas) Spirit more.

Remember: "Ye are the light of the world" Matt 5:14
"Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me." Matt 25:40

During the Christmas season should be when we show that we truly are disciples of Jesus Christ by helping others and doing all that he has asked of us.

Love you all so very much! Merry Christmas!
Love,
Elder Puzey

Picture texted to Mom on Thanksgiving Day from an unknown ward member.
Just someone who wanted us to see him on Thanksgiving.
He ate at the Stake President's house and said it was the 'fanciest' Thanksgiving Dinner ever.
So we have a tiny apartment,
Walking in from the door.
Around the corner.

The only Ferrari you'll ever find in the desert.
