Week 52 : Living on a prayer

Well this week I'll hit my halfway point which is pretty crazy. This week was a whole lot of figuring out how to use our phones and messing with Facebook and stuff like that. We did have a pretty cool experience though. So with our phones we get this app that basically is an online version of all the stuff that we usually have to record on paper. Well other missions have had phones for a while so when we finally downloaded the app we had some referrals waiting right there for us. So we ended up calling one of them and he actually answered so we set up a time with him and got his address. Well we show up on Saturday for our appointment and we have a lesson outside. He really understood the Restoration really well because he actually would clarify what we were saying by putting it in his own words and then asking if that was correct. Well as we were teaching there was a lady who was leaving her apartment and walking towards her car but then she stopped and asked us what church we were from. We told her the Mormon church and she stood there for a second and then was like, "Mormon church? ... Come and teach my son." (Imagine the words said in a basic understanding of english because she's from another country type of way). So that was pretty cool! Not everyday that someone decided to come up to us and asks us to teach them or their family.

Other than that the week went by pretty quick with all these new changes and the logistics of giving all of the zone members their phones on Sunday night. We also had our MLC (mission leadership council) on Thursday where I got to see Elder Etheridge and Elder Nordgren so it was good to see them. We also got some good instructions about how to use our phones and the new area book app.

On Sunday we were able to call home and talk to our moms for mother's day so that was pretty nice. Glad to see the family and hear their voices and see how they've changed and everything.

This week we will have Zone Conference on Wednesday and then my year mark on Thursday so pretty excited!

Love you all!
Love,
Elder Puzey
