Week 88: Nuggie Cup

So for zone activity today we had everyone bring $1 and we had a volleyball tournament. When the winner was decided Elder Dietrich and I scooted on over to the local Burger King and asked for the most amount of nuggets we could get for $24. We also asked for 5 crowns. Took about 20 minutes to get the food cause they only have one fryer but we hauled back to the church and surprised everyone with 230 nuggies and 4 (they forgot to give us one) crowns. The winners got their crowns and everyone got to mack on some BK nuggies. Good times. After the food we played some more sports and we all felt (and still feel) awful. I also ran pretty much full speed into the partition and broke my toenail.
It's been super fun to be back in Hesperia. We sometimes get to drive through my old area and I have so many flashbacks to the good times with Elder Nordgren about a year ago. On Friday I got to go on exchanges with one of the Spanish elders and we drove on the boarder of my very first area. That was an even bigger throwback and made me realize how extremely fun missions are. They're hard but when you're doing it right you'll be having a blast at the same time.

The work here is pretty amazing. We had two families come to church yesterday and we've had a pretty good amount of lessons the whole week. If I had more time I'd go into more detail about who we're teaching but here's a short summary:

Mendoza family: Working with them to get baptized in March and May.
X Family: There's an excommunicated member in our ward and we've been teaching him, his wife and daughter. Sadly the daughter's birth father doesn't want her baptized till she's 18 but the husband and wife are going to get baptized/re-baptized sometime in February.
Cena and Jade: Cena is a recent convert and we're also teaching her daughter Jade. Hopefully she'll get baptized in February and we're also hoping to start teaching her sister.
Ibarra family: This is the family that came to church. Don't know much about them but they're really quiet.
Zepeda family: They just got baptized two days before I got here. They live just down the street and they're all young savages. Danny is 22 and didn't get baptized but we're gonna start working out with him in the morning and see if we can't do some work there.

I think there's a couple more but I'm running outta time. Just know that I'm loving it here and couldn't be happier. Love you all so very much!

Love,
Elder Puzey

P. S pics probs not till next week cause the library is closed today

Editor's Note:
Elder Puzey did not send any pics today but Mom was sent a pic Sunday night from a family he was having dinner with. It is grainy and blurry but we'll take it!
