Week 95: Urgent Care Trip

A member recently told us that the Indians named this place Hesperia because all the clouds seem to go around it and it looks like there's always a hole in the sky. Just a fun fact for all of your who weren't wondering what Hesperia meant.

Some good news before the sad news. On Wednesday I was on exchanges with Elder Willes, we were zone leaders back in Rancho Cucamonga and now he's an assistant to the President so we got to go on exchanges! It was really fun to be back with him. He's a really diligent and hard working missionary and I just knew the day was going to go well and it did! We had a few lessons, taught someone new, did some service, got some In-n-out, tracted a couple doors and talked A LOT.

On Saturday I was on exchanges with Elder Crandall and it was a blast. At one point of the day we found ourselves really close to the family that I taught in the Bear Valley ward here in Hesperia. They got baptized in October which I was able to come up for but had not seen them since so it was a good visit. Then right before we were going to have dinner we got a call from our companions who were together and told us that they needed a ride to the urgent care. Luckily no Tiwi violations but we got there pretty quick. Anyways nothing major but one of them were having some pains and thought there might be a UTI involved but turns out might just be a small kidney stone. We'll know more later. So that was fun. After a trip to the urgent care we thought a good way to end the night would be some Cafe Rio and some Mexican ice cream. (Which I got too much of and thought I was going to die.)

The sad news is that my favorite person we're teaching, Jesus, is moving!! We taught him the Law of Chastity like a month ago and it's clearly been a struggle for him cause his girlfriend is now expecting... Anyways he is moving in with her because his parents are moving somewhere else and his work is closer to where she lives. Pray for Jesus please. I think with everything that's happened it'll help him see how important the gospel (and commandments) is.

Earlier today we went on a hike. I'll send pictures. It was a good time and no one got hurt! As always I love and miss you all very much!

Love,
Elder Puzey
